Benefits

Bio-gas with an average 5% higher methane content

Bio-gas mainly consists of methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2). Methane is the ‘fuel’ that provides the energy for electricity generation and/or heating. The higher the methane content, the more “energetic” the gas is. Normally, bio-gas has an average methane content of around 55%.

Because of the higher efficiency of its technique, Betaprocess produces bio-gas with an average methane content of around 60%. Starting from equal gas yields, this already means an efficiency improvement of around 9%.

10-15% higher bio-gas yields
strongly reduced fermentation time
more stable production process
considerably less digestate
